After purchasing the U2 album Rattle and Hum, MattyP learned that music wasn't just something to be heard, but something that stirs the soul and needed to be shared. He would break his headphones so that he could easily listen to his music collection with his friends always trying to point out the intricacies of the rhythms and the lyrics. Constantly explaining the symbolism and replaying of songs over and over. It was this passion that caused him to link up with the Cove. After hearing an early session in the original Cove St. Studio he demanded a copy of the song he had heard, Forgotten. Armed with one song and an iPod, MattyP (of his own volition, mind you) stormed the streets; exposing anyone who would listen to this new sound. As time progressed and MattyP's Cove collection grew he naturally fell into the role he currently holds, Director of PR. He was born in Worcester, Mass and has lived in Fairhaven, Worcester, & Northboro, Boston and Duxbury. His thick accent is his signature and lets anyone in earshot know that there is someone from Massachusetts close by.
