Will (a.k.a Mirovox, Miro, Vilko)
vocals, acoustic & electric guitars, dobros, piano
Miro began a career/his affair with music at the age of ten in a traveling boys choir. They played schools, retirement homes, festivals and produced there own seasonal concerts. However, the glory of the road at an early age was not all it was cracked up to be. "Crowds could be tough, especially the nose pickers and face makers in the front row. Kids our age would try and make us perform badly because being in a choir at that time was considered not cool"
Vilko went on to study piano and in High School performed with the jazz band and orchestra as a trombonist. "I don't know how the band leader/teacher Larry even survived the experience - I was hands down the worst trombonist ever. But I guess since I was one of only two, they needed me. Poor Larry." Coincidentally, Adam Schlesinger of "Fountains of Wayne" was also in that band.
Miro's affair with music opened up other creative paths, especially in the culinary arts. Having found himself as an acclaimed Pastry Chef, Miro ended up in Venice Italy in the late 90s', working for the famed Hotel Cipriani, and then ultimately running his own restaurants in Philadelphia. Mirovox relocated up to the Boston in the early 2000s.
After such great experiences, Miro's interest in music continued to remain strong and he began to write for his own pleasure. In 2004, he started recording with Rob for what would become the basis of the Cove: several of his efforts are on this latest Cove release, and more are expected for future efforts of the Cove. "I hope you enjoy listening as much as we did playing and recording. Thanks."
Miro currently resides in the "where is he now file" in a town of 700 in North West Montana.
