Where did the summer go? That’s what the Cove keeps asking! We’re getting pretty psyched about the coming few months…talk of new recordings and another clip of animation.
September 6, at 2PM is our screening time at the state-of-the-art SIFF Cinema in the Seattle Center! Seriously, this is a hi-tech theatre and we can’t wait to see the video here.
SIFF Cinema is located at 321 Mercer Street at 3rd Avenue, McCaw Hall, in the heart of Seattle Center’s Theatre district. (Showtimes and information: 206-633-7151)
The 1 Reel Film Festival runs September 4–7, 2009. 1 Reel is put on by the Seattle International Film Festival Group as part of Bumbershoot, Seattle's city-wide music and arts festival, now in its 39th year. Since 1971, Bumbershoot has drawn artists representing the best in music, film, comedy, spoken word, dance, theatre, performance, and visual arts to the Seattle Center over Labor Day weekend. North America's largest urban arts festival, Bumbershoot takes place in the heart of the city at the 74-acre Seattle Center. Over 150,000 visitors from near and far spend the weekend reveling in the world of Bumbershoot, experiencing everything from regional favorites to international superstars across all arts disciplines.
All of us at the Cove, and our partner, Ondrej Rudavsky, are trying to figure out how to get out there to Seattle for the screening and we’ll keep you posted.
We’re getting busy with the next phase. We are also going to be included as part of bigger exhibition on Ondrej’s life and work, in Piestany, Slovakia, in the next few weeks…we love the international shows as well. Thank you Ondrej for putting the Cove video in your show. (More details to come later.)
