‘Wish I Was Dead’ Music Video at Mexico International Film Festival May 23rd!

Don’t count the Cove out yet.

The “Wish I Was Dead” video will be screened Sunday afternoon just before the closing ceremony.

The Festival will take place May 21 – 23, 2010 at the serene Rosarito Beach Hotel Resort & Spa, situated directly on the Baja Coast in Rosarito, Mexico, just a 40 minute drive from San Diego.

The Cove are busy working on a number of new music and video projects….and keep an eye out for a film project soon….

Wish I Was Dead Music Video at 1 Reel Film Festival in Seattle on Sept. 6

Where did the summer go? That’s what the Cove keeps asking! We’re getting pretty psyched about the coming few months…talk of new recordings and another clip of animation.

September 6, at 2PM is our screening time at the state-of-the-art SIFF Cinema in the Seattle Center! Seriously, this is a hi-tech theatre and we can’t wait to see the video here.

SIFF Cinema is located at 321 Mercer Street at 3rd Avenue, McCaw Hall, in the heart of Seattle Center’s Theatre district. (Showtimes and information: 206-633-7151)

On Location: Memphis Int. Film Festival to Feature "Wish I was Dead" Video April 25, 2009

It is with great pleasure and excitement to announce that the On Location: Memphis International Film Festival to feature the Cove’s animated music video, "Wish I Was Dead", to be screened at this year’s film festival, which will be held from April 23rd through April 26th in Memphis, Tennessee. This is our 6th nomination for the video thus far in 2009, so this is exciting news for everyone here at the Cove’s production company, Back River Endeavor, as well as for our partner and Cove friend, Ondrej Rudavsky, who directed and animated the video!

The Cove’s screening time has been set for Saturday night at 10 PM, as part of a music video feature called On Location: MTV.

Boston International Film Festival to Feature "Wish I was Dead" Video

It is with great pleasure and excitement to announce that the Boston International Film Festival has accepted the Cove’s animated music video, "Wish I Was Dead", to be screened at this year’s film festival, which will be held from April 17th through April 26th at the Loews Cineplex / AMC, in Boston, Massachusetts. 2009 is kicking off to a great start for the Cove! Our 'Wish I Was Dead' music video has been chosen as an Official Finalist at the 2009 Canada International Film Festival. The Cove is especially excited as this piece of news has arrived on the eve of the Cove's premiere screening on the big stage at the Festivus Film Festival in Denver, Colorado tomorrow, January 10!

The Festivus Film Festival will be presenting The Cove's debut music video 'Wish I was Dead' at noon, Saturday January the 10th, at the Oriental Theatre in beautiful downtown Denver, Colorado. This is exciting news for everyone here at The Cove’s production company, Back River Endeavor, as well as for our partner and Cove friend, Ondrej Rudavsky, who directed and animated the video. Our first festival!

Chosen from among hundreds of submissions, Wish I was Dead is one of 56 entrants, from short film to feature length that will be screened. We are extremely proud to be part of the Festivus who uses its relative newcomer status to the major film festival circuit to support and promote up and coming Indy artists and producers.

Drej and Rui Boomclick will be at the Big Chill Festival

Drej and Rui Boomclick will be hitting the road July 31 – August 2 in the UK to play a few shows under the combined name of Boom Cove, playing unplugged songs from Boomclick Soundsystems and the Cove repertoire. Featuring Rosa Fernandez from Boomclick Soundsystems on vocals and Georgie Hoare on cello, the group will hit the Big Chill Festival, providing support for the likes of Leonard Cohen and Beth Orton. The Cove releases its first record, Back to Vienna

In conjunction with Back River Records, the Cove have spent most of 2006 and 2007 writing, recording and mixing their new release, "Back To Vienna".

"Back To Vienna" started out as a collection of songs based on American-born guitarist-songwriter-singer Drej's life and times and love for his years living in Vienna Austria in the 2000s before moving to London in 2005. The record was further transformed when Drej teamed up with singer-songwriter-guitarist Miro, who was pursuing his solo album efforts, recording at Cove Street Studios with engineer-songwriter and producer Rob. Teaming up one afternoon in 2005 to record what would become the 8th track of the record, "Love Inside", the Cove band was formed. Today, "Back To Vienna" features a blend of artistry drawing from the efforts of multiple songwriters all pursuing the same story; love found, love lost, love resolved.

In the Summer of 2007, the Cove teamed up with MTV 'Breakthrough Video of the Year' winner, MTV nominated ‘Director of the Year’, two-time AUREL winning and Grammy Nominated director Ondrej Rudavsky to begin work on transforming the Cove music into a multi-media visual experience, as seen with the upcoming video release of the record's first intended single, 'Wish I Was Dead'.
